The Alabaster Ecomuseum is a museum project that tells the story of the alabaster craft which extends over a wide area in the province of Pisa: Volterra, Castellina Marittima and Santa Luce.

The Ecomuseum thus comprises two distinct itineraries in two different locations: the itinerary of the excavation of the stone documented in the museum in Castellina Marittima and the itinerary of its artistic production and trade on display at the museum in Volterra.
